I'm assuming the colors froze because they were all liquidy, whereas these are more gel-like, so it works very well. Very happy with it. It has instructions which is great, and instead of using the whole package of powder with 2L of water, I used half the package with 1L so that we could use them more. We waited the four hours as suggested to play with them, and they are super rubbery as you can see in the pic."
